Our presentation this month will be presented by Yosbany Ballate of VSL where he is the Branch Director - Southeast Division.VSL is recognized as a world leader in specialist construction systems, associated technologies and services. VSL' Post-Tensioning systems has been used in some of the most prestigious and completed structures worldwide. Today VSL operates as a network through 50 locations established on six continents.Yosbany Ballate was born in Santa Clara, Cuba. He received his civil engineering degree from Universidad Central de las Villas (UCLV) in 1996.Yosbany has worked in several local and international projects, starting as Project Engineer in a Stay Cable Bridge in Argentina "Rosario-Victoria." Since he moved to Miami in 2002, he has been involved in several projects working for private and public owners.Topics of his presentation include:1. Pre-stressing Definition.2. History.3. Post-Tensioning Systems.4. Application.
