Ghosh DATE: Thursday, December 14, 2017 TIME: Seating (please arrive early) 1:45pm - 2:00pm Webinar Presentation 2:00pm - 4:00pm PROGRAM: This session will focus on wind loads on non-building structures, including equipment, screenwalls, PV, and signs. The session will discuss ASCE 7 wind load provisions for non-building structures and how to correctly apply them through examples. An in-depth exploration for engineering commonly encountered situations that are not directly addressed in the code will follow. Sample topics include:
1. Horizontal and vertical components of wind load for rooftop equipment.
2. Wind load on rooftop equipment on buildings less than 60 feet and over 60 feet.
3. Rooftop screenwalls.
6. Tall parapets.
7. Wind loads on trellises.
