FSEA Hosting Live Seminar Our North Florida Chapter of FSEA is bringing together our members and colleagues for another live seminar experience.

SPEAKER: Bill Bracken, P.E., SI, CFM President of Bracken Engineering

PROGRAM: The goal of the course is to acquaint design professionals, code officials, code administrators and construction professionals with the advantages of paperless plans submittal and review along with the various methods available for signing and sealing documents. Upon successful completion of this course participants will be familiar with physical and electronic documents and digital & electronic signatures. This program will also include a brief discussion on the Florida program of SEER (Structural Engineering Emergency Response).

 LOCATION: Haskell (Haskell Development Center - 111 Riverside Ave. Jacksonville, FL 32202.   Check in at the Receptionist Desk.

 COST: FSEA Member $20 Non Member $40 Student $10 

Bio: for Bill Bracken, P.E. Mr. Bracken’s training, experience include working as an engineer on structural, building envelope, general civil, floodplain, construction, building code applications and forensic engineering projects as well as Urban Search And Rescue responses. Mr. Bracken has overseen and performed design, analysis and forensic investigations of concrete, masonry, wood, steel, aluminum, fiberglass, precast and pre-tensioned structures. His design responsibilities have included new construction, upgrading and retrofitting structures to meet dynamic and increased static loading requirements; design and rehabilitation of fixed and movable structures; design of false work and shoring; development of construction phasing and shop drawing development and review. Within the forensic arena, Mr. Bracken has experience and has been qualified to evaluate and opine on structural engineering, construction, building envelopes, industry standards, Building & Life Safety Codes, FEMA's NFIP and construction practices regarding vertical and horizontal commercial, municipal, residential, agricultural, coastal, marine and transportation structures. Within the Urban Search and Rescue area, Mr. Bracken has served on the FEMA StS workgroup and as the Lead Structures Specialist for the State of Florida's USAR program as well as Florida's Task Force 3. He serves as a structural collapse instructor for the State of Florida and his experience includes more than half a dozen heavy extrication technical rescues, ten USAR hurricane deployments and numerous post-fire collapsed structure assessments. Target Audience: This class was designed for delivery to design professionals, code officials, code administrators and construction professionals.
