Please join us for our BA Chapter meeting on April 27.  We think we have an informative presentation for those that attend.

Speaker:  Jeff Stoneman, P.E. Simpson Strong-Tie

Topic:    Post-Installed Reinforcing Design Methodology:  ICC-ES AC308
"Qualification of Adhesive Anchors in Concrete     Elements" introduced design
provisions and qualification standards for using post-installed rebar for
development length and lap splices.  Engineers can treat rebar installed
with epoxy as if it was cast-in-place.  This triples the permitted embedment
depth limitation.  Prior to the development of this design provision, the
development of post-installed rebar, or rebar used for lap splice
applications wasn't possible.  We'll discuss this new design tool in detail.
