FSEA Seminar PDH Event
TOPIC: Fiber Reinforced Concrete Technology
Macro synthetic and steel fibers continue to gain wide-spread acceptance in applications ranging from composite metal decks, commercial and industrial slabs on ground, pavements, shotcreting and precast. This workshop will review industry standard acceptance criteria from ACI 360 (Guide to Design of Slabs on Ground), ACI 302 (Guide to Floor and Slab Construction) and the Steel Deck Institute.
Cost effective, value engineering alternates of steel and macro synthetic fibers that deliver savings over conventional reinforcing design will also be previewed along with examples of extended joint spacing and reduced curling.
A proprietary Slab Design software which utilizes Yield Line Method analysis and accommodates concentrated loading and distributed loading alike will also be reviewed in several major categories: Fork Truck loading, Rack Post loads, Dual and Dual Tandem Vehicle loading, Uniform Distributed Live loads and Line loads.
